EXTINCT ANIMALS BROUGHT TO MODERN DAY
In Xstinct, an eccentric and visionary scientist named Dr. James Horner succeeds in engineering a groundbreaking time machine, which he utilizes to retrieve five unique animals from various prehistoric eras and bring them safely into the present day.
Driven by a desire to share his remarkable discoveries with the world, he donates the five creatures to a local zoo. However, upon their arrival, the animals quickly cross paths with Burk, the zoo's notoriously rude, impatient, and greedy head zookeeper. Unhappy with their restrictive new environment and Burk's harsh treatment, the resourceful animals manage to stage a daring escape into a sprawling nearby forest. During their time in the wild, the five diverse creatures navigate unfamiliar surroundings, frequently getting into humorous trouble while gradually forging a deep and lasting bond of friendship. Despite their clever efforts to remain free, they are eventually tracked down, recaptured, and brought back to their enclosures at the zoo. Safely reunited back in captivity, the tight-knit group turns their collective antics toward their primary target, continuously finding creative ways to annoy Burk and wreak havoc throughout the zoo.

Dareck
A very smart Dodo Bird. He is good friends with Martin and enjoys tricking Burk. His favorite food is pomegranates. He is 14 in Dodo Bird years (3 human years). He is the leader of the 5 animals, and helped them find the forest. He often makes clever jokes at others' expense, and helps his friends out by adding a little common sense to the squad.
Martin
A brave Moa. He is best friends with Dareck. His favorite food is anything. He is 16 in Moa years (9 human years). He is the brawn and bravery of the group, forging ahead without thinking. Dareck provides sense and planning to his decisions.
Tim
A kind and chill Thylacine (Tasmanian Tiger). He is good friends with all the animals. His favorite food is tofu. He is 13 in Thylacine years (2 human years). He is the heart and motivation of the crew. He keeps the others kind and understanding.
Quince
A lazy Quagga. He is often asleep, but is reliable when he is needed.
His favorite food is grass. He is 15 in Quagga years (4.5 human years). He is friendly with all the animals, but can be sarcastic and apathetic at times. He is often getting lucky, but sometimes a truly smart decision from him really helps him and his friends.
Ron
A scaredy-cat Western Black Rhino. He is afraid of everything and relies on his friends to help him out. His favorite food is buttercups. He is 11 in Rhino years (7 human years). He is strong, but rarely uses his full potential. His reserved and worrying nature can be a gift at times, but occasionally it hinders his progress.
Dr. Horner
An eccentric scientist who loves extinct animals. He built a time machine and brought back 5 animals, one from each of his favorite species. He then donated them to the local zoo, a place where most of his fondest memories were made. He is 25 years old, and went to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning a Doctoral Degree in engineering and a Masters in zoology. He inherited a lot of money from his parents, and lives alone in a huge mansion, where he invents stuff.
Birk
A rude and greedy zookeeper who cares only about money and the popularity of his zoo. He is heavily focused on keeping the extinct animals in his zoo, as he believes that they will make the zoo famous as the main attraction. He is 44 years old. He is the Head Zookeeper of the Belman Zoo. He is constantly getting tripped by the extinct animals. Upon catching them again, he takes all the credit, even though he was useless.
